Lilliput Lane "Bishop's House Sheffield"
Bishop's House, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Bishops House is the best surviving and most charming example of a timber framed house in the city of Sheffield of which there are just three and is open to the public each Saturday and Sunday. It was built in the 1500s and located at the top of Meersbrook Park.
Your eyes are not playing tricks on you the western part of the house does in fact have a slight lean to the right and is the result of improvements made in the 1550s which included the addition of fireplaces and a chimney by removing a main supporting corner post.
