Lilliput Lane "Fire Bells"
Eccleshall, Staffordshire. The Staffordshire market town of Eccleshall and the High Street is particularly highly regarded, for its unusual former fire station. Sitting among elegant houses and impressive shops, this quaint and tiny fire station is utterly charming, if not surprising. This quaint two storey, red brick building, with tile hung gabled front and decorative open lantern with lead ogee cupola on the roof, served as the towns fire station from 1891 right up until 1984, when it was replaced by a state of the art community fire station.
